Manitoulin Resort offers spacious grassy sites most of which include 30 amps electricity and water however we do offer non-serviced tenting sites for those who like to rough it. Each site consists of a fire pit, picnic table and nearby clean, modern washrooms with free hot showers and flush toilets. We also offer laundry facilities, campfire wood delivery and a free dump station for clientele to use. Upon check-in feel free to ask about our pump out service offered twice a week on select days for a small fee. Purchase ice cream, snacks, supplies, fishing gear, select grocery products, ice or a fishing license in our variety store.
Pets are permitted but must be leashed when off your campsite. They may prefer a walk in our additional 49 acre forest or enjoy a swim at the public boat launch located next to the resort. Excessive barking, stoop/scoop policy is in effect.
Manitoulin Resort’s water is Ministry approved and therefore safe to drink, shower and cook with. We follow and abide by the Ministry’s requirements. We maintain two top quality water systems which are equipped with ultraviolet and chlorination units to keep you safe.
Our camping season typically begins the second Friday in May, (Mother Nature permitting), and completes towards the end of September. Please contact us to confirm opening and closing dates for the current year. We accept camping reservations starting January 1st of the current year.
What we need to know to book your campsite:
- Your date of arrival and departure?
- Number of adults/children/pets?
- Total length of your RV once it's set up or number of people your tent can accommodate?
- Is it a travel trailer, 5th wheel, hybrid, tent trailer, truck camper, motorhome or tent?
- Do you require electricity and water? A back-in site or pull-thru site?
- Have you stayed with us before and have a preferred site or area?
- Do you need to arrange for advance docking?
- Name/cell phone number/Visa or MasterCard number and expiry date?
For those who wish a longer stay, monthly rates are available. Please contact us if you are interested in a seasonal site or purchasing a trailer for sale within the resort.
Manitoulin Resort offers grassy spacious sites, shady or sunny, perfect for your camping experience. These are non-serviced sites with a shared water tap within the vicinity. All of these sites are located in our Maple Grove section #40-44 located on the top right of our map and are within a 2-3 minute walk to one of our washroom/shower facilities and approximately a 7 minute walk to the waterfront area. Please keep in mind we do not permit the use of generators within the resort.
Back-In Camping Sites
We offer 30 amp electricity and water back-in sites that are perfect for your stay. A variety of sizes, locations, sun or shade, grassy or gravel pads are options we can discuss while you choose your vacation spot away from home. Keep in mind we do not have sewers however we do offer a free dump station on site or a pump out service twice a week for a small fee. Please ask us for details.
These sites are geared towards "big rigs" and larger units offering 30 amp electricity and water. They are typically wide, open/sunny sites with gravel pads approximately 16-18 meters, (55-60 feet), long. Pull-thru sites offer the convenience of driving in and out with ease and the use of a grey water ONLY tank on each site. Keep in mind we do not have sewers however we do offer a free dump station or a pump out service twice a week for a small fee. Please ask us for details.
In order to place a reservation for a campsite, we require a Visa or MasterCard number and date of expiry. We will not place any charges on your card, you will pay for your site upon arrival. We cannot accept Debit Visa's or prepaid gift cards. Upon arrival, you will be asked to confirm your Visa or MasterCard as we keep it on file in the event of damages or additional service fees.
Camping check-in is 1:00pm or later and check-out is 11:00am. Upon arrival, if you are not satisfied with your campsite, feel free to see us in the store for a list of other available sites. Please contact us if you will be arriving after 5:00pm in order to make arrangements for late arrival. We will not give your site away until the following day however you are responsible for payment for the nights you have reserved. No refunds are given due to inclement weather or for issues beyond our control.
Please be advised we require a minimum 3 weeks notice for cancellations or changes. If the minimum is not met and/or you do not arrive for your reserved site, there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee applied to your credit card per campsite, per week. Upon arrival, you are responsible for payment in full regarding the nights you have reserved.
Keep in mind that all of our electric camping sites offer 30 amp electricity & water. Since these outlets are larger than regular electrical plugs and similar in size to a dryer or stove plug , we offer a converter plug program. For $20.00 CASH we will lend you a converter plug. Once the plug is returned we will return your $20.00 CASH. If you do not have cash, we will sell you a converter electrical plug + tax.
Please be advised of the following weekends with a mandatory minimum stay:
July and September long weekends require a minimum 2 night camping stay.
Halloween weekend - hosted in July - requires a minimum 2 night camping stay.
August long weekend requires a minimum 3 night camping stay.
